About Grand River Energy

At Grand River Energy, we are at the forefront of the energy transition, pioneering innovative and practical solutions for a sustainable and environmentally conscious future. As an energy transition project developer and owner, we are driven by a vision of a brighter, more sustainable tomorrow, and we understand the urgency of reducing our collective carbon footprint. That’s why we have made it our mission to empower businesses, public organizations, and communities to embrace low-carbon alternatives.

We take a holistic approach to decarbonization recognizing that the road to a sustainable future is diverse, and that is why we remain technology agnostic. Rather than leading with prescriptive approaches, we believe a multitude of solutions should be considered and tailored to best meet our client operational, financial, and sustainability needs. Whether you’re a business looking to reduce your carbon emissions, a public organization committed to sustainability, or a community striving for a greener future, we are here to support and guide you every step of the way.

Grand River Energy is proud to be a joint venture between the municipally owned electric utilities serving the City of Brantford, Brant County, and the Region of Waterloo.
